The Israeli army carried out an unsuccessful operation

The Israeli army carried out an unsuccessful operation to free hostages in the Gaza Strip last night.

This was reported by the IDF press service, writes the BBC.

The day before, Hamas said that when the Israelis tried to free the hostage, 25-year-old military man Saar Baruch, he and several other Israeli soldiers were killed.

The IDF says that it has no casualties (but two soldiers were seriously wounded), but there are losses, on the contrary, from Hamas.

The press service’s report does not literally mean that it and Hamas are talking about the same clash, but at the end, the press service adds that Hamas is waging psychological warfare and should not be trusted.

“This night, two IDF soldiers were seriously wounded in an operation to rescue hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. During the operation, numerous terrorists who participated in the kidnapping and holding of hostages were killed. The hostages were not rescued during these actions,” the Israeli military said in a statement.
