Scientists have tested an army of cyborg cockroaches

It has become known that scientists have tested an army of cyborg cockroaches in the field.

A group of researchers from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore has tested the desert area of its army of cyborg cockroaches.

The scientists plan to involve the cockroaches in upcoming search and rescue operations. This is reported by the Independent.

The insects were dressed in remote-controlled backpacks and connected to a central computer.

The first tests were successful. 20 cyborg cockroaches were tested on a sandy test site.

They demonstrated their ability to move in a given direction and follow commands.

In the experiment, scientists were able to document how some cockroaches helped another cockroach get back on its feet if it accidentally rolled over on its back.
