American military volunteers rescue wounded Ukrainian Soldiers

American volunteers from the “Flash” battalion rescued several wounded Ukrainian soldiers after they were attacked by a Russian FPV drone during a combat mission.

The incident is documented in a video released by the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after the Knights of the Winter March.

According to brigade representatives, the volunteers were participating in a scheduled rotation when they suddenly heard cries for help from the surrounding area.

At first, they couldn’t tell where the sounds were coming from, but they immediately headed in that direction.

One of the American soldiers recalled hearing a long, unusual scream, followed by the smell of smoke wafting from beneath the trees.

As they advanced, the group discovered the remains of a destroyed ground-based robotic vehicle. A few moments later, they heard the voices of wounded soldiers calling for help.

The wounded belonged to a neighboring Ukrainian unit. The soldiers reported that an enemy FPV drone had attacked their position, resulting in two soldiers being wounded.

A third soldier had stayed behind to help his comrades, despite the danger.

Realizing there was no time to lose, the American volunteers rushed to the wounded and helped evacuate them from the open terrain, despite the ongoing threat of further drone strikes.

It was previously reported that during the evacuation of wounded Ukrainian soldiers from the front line, an American M113 armored personnel carrier withstood nine strikes from Russian combat drones.
