Ukrainian drones with thermal imaging cameras help repel enemy attacks at night

Active fighting against Russian infantry continues on the front lines in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian forces are using modern drone technology to detect and stop enemy assault groups before they can advance.

Drone operators from the battalion of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade successfully used unmanned aerial vehicles to identify and strike Russian infantry positions during combat operations.

Ukrainian drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras can detect heat signatures even in complete darkness. This allows operators to locate enemy soldiers, equipment and movement at night when traditional observation methods are limited.

The use of thermal cameras has become an important advantage on the modern battlefield. Drones can continue reconnaissance and support operations regardless of poor visibility, darkness or difficult weather conditions.

According to Ukrainian military reports, drone operators used these capabilities to disrupt Russian assault groups and prevent attempts to approach Ukrainian positions.

Modern reconnaissance drones with night vision and thermal imaging systems have significantly changed the way battles are conducted. They provide commanders with faster information and allow units to react more quickly to enemy movements.

Such technologies make offensive operations more difficult because hidden movements can be detected from the air. The growing use of advanced drones demonstrates the increasing role of unmanned systems in modern warfare. 

Earlier, it was reported that the Ukrainian military applied new technologies and installed a grenade launcher on the drone.
