How Ukrainian Drones Are Making a Mockery of Russian Air Defense
Russian air defense once again demonstrated its striking helplessness during a new attack by Ukrainian strike drones on the city of St. Petersburg and the surrounding region.
During the attack, Ukrainian drones flew unimpeded over the city right in front of Russian fighter jets, which had been tasked with shooting down the drones.
The drones not only destroyed two massive Wildberries logistics hubs in St. Petersburg at once but also literally made a mockery of Russian air defense.
On the night of Friday, July 24, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces attacked St. Petersburg, destroying what is now the fifth logistics warehouse belonging to the Russian marketplace Wildberries.
Local residents are posting numerous videos on social media showing the aftermath of the strikes on the warehouses, which were, in fact, the main targets of the Ukrainian drones.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian combat drones carried out a series of drone strikes on Russia’s largest oil terminal and the Baltic Fleet base in St. Petersburg.
Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle units also continue to strike and destroy fuel tankers in occupied territories, creating new logistical challenges for the enemy.
