HomeWars and ConflictsUkraine targets Russia’s largest oil terminal and Baltic Fleet base in St. Petersburg during overnight drone attack

Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot and a port in St. Petersburg

Units of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces carried out another strike on Russia’s Leningrad Oblast.

One of the targets hit by the drones was the “St. Petersburg” oil terminal.

It is one of the largest transshipment complexes in the Baltic region and a key logistics hub for Russia’s fuel exports.

The terminal is used for receiving, storing, and transshipping crude oil, light and heavy petroleum products, fuel oil, diesel fuel, and other cargoes. Its throughput capacity is approximately 10 million metric tons per year.

In addition, it is reported that “Kronstadt,” the main base of the Leningrad Naval Base of Russia’s Baltic Fleet, was also struck.

“Kronstadt” provides basing, repair, and maintenance for Russian warships.

“Systematic strikes against the enemy’s military and logistical infrastructure will continue as long as Russia continues its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the military reports.

It was previously reported that Ukrainian combat drones continue to destroy Russian occupiers’ fuel tankers. Successful attacks continue in occupied territories, creating new logistical challenges for the enemy.

Also, following a recent massive nighttime attack on the Russian city of Vyborg, the FSB building burned. And in the local port, a Russian naval ship began to sink.
