US court sentences Jack Teixeira to 15 years in prison
It has become known that a US court has sentenced Air Force National Guard serviceman Jack Teixeira to 15 years in prison.
The serviceman is accused of leaking classified Pentagon documents on plans for Ukraine.
It was previously reported that Teixeira was arrested by the FBI in North Dayton, Massachusetts, and has been under federal arrest since mid-2023.
He pleaded guilty to knowingly storing and transmitting national defense information under the Espionage Act.
He published classified Pentagon documents on US policy from Ukraine to the Middle East on social media.
According to Associated Press sources, Teixeira specialized in working with intelligence.
He also ran the chat room where the classified documents were published.
