Ukrainian defense forces have taken 60 Russian prisoners in a day
Ukrainian defense forces have published a video showing a Russian military man surrendering during fighting in Volchansk, Kharkiv Region.
The footage shows the captor appearing in the field of view of a Ukrainian drone camera with his hands up and heading down a broken street.
It is reported that near Volchansk, Ukrainian defenders managed to capture about 60 Russians in one day.
On the same day, the Ukrainian military went on a counterattack and controlled most of the city – about 70%.
Now in Volchansk, on its outskirts, there is fierce fighting.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian troops are preparing for new offensives.
They are concentrating a grouping of unspecified size near the border with Ukraine, 90 kilometers northwest of Kharkiv.
This may allow Russian troops to launch offensive actions in another direction.
