The world’s oldest stock exchange, Bersen, is on fire in Copenhagen

It has become known that the world’s oldest 400-year-old stock exchange, Bersen, is on fire in Copenhagen.

Fire engulfed Copenhagen’s historic stock exchange, one of the Danish capital’s most famous buildings, on Tuesday.

As a result, the famous spire, made in the shape of twisted dragon tails, collapsed, Reuters reported.

The stock exchange had recently been under renovation. The causes of the fire are still unknown. There is no information about casualties.

Bersen Stock Exchange is one of the oldest buildings located in the very center of Copenhagen.

Its construction was completed in 1625. The Stock Exchange was erected by order of Christian IV, and its main feature was a 56-meter spire.
