So far, it is known that the shooter’s name is David Kozak. He opened fire with a long-barreled rifle with an optic in the building of the Faculty of Philosophy at Charles University.
11 people were killed, including the shooter, and 30 people were injured.
In the afternoon, Charles University students and staff received an email asking them to barricade themselves.
“We barricaded ourselves on the 2nd floor, the shooting probably took place on the 4th,” says one of the students.
It is also reported that after the terrorist attack and shooting, Kozak committed suicide.
“The shooter jumped somewhere and died, this is a good result from the point of view of the tragedy, but we must analyze all this and then inform the public,” said Prague Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda.
