Russia lost 99,000 soldiers to take over one neighborhood

It took Russia three months and nearly 100,000 lives to capture one isolated Ukrainian neighborhood.

According to Forbes, the Russian military has lost 99,000 men since the start of Operation Sentinel Yar in April.

The Russian forces had made some successes on the ground, but they were all achieved at great cost when so many lives were ruined for so little gain.

What is likely to happen next is what has been going on for months now:

Russian forces are advancing with huge losses in men and equipment, while inflicting much smaller losses on Ukrainian forces.

For every town or even neighborhood the Russians capture, they lose tens of thousands of soldiers.

The Ukrainian garrison in Chasiv Yar has not stopped fighting.

The military retreated several blocks as Russian artillery and bombs almost completely destroyed all the buildings in this area of the city.

The Ukrainian military showed how the Russian occupants destroyed Chasiv Yar with thermobaric weapons.

When such a projectile is detonated, a continuous flame with a temperature of about 2,500 degrees is formed, destroying all life in the radius of impact.
