‘Putin’s war has failed’: Joe Biden at UN General Assembly
The main theses of the US President’s speech:
➡️ I am convinced that we are now at a historic crossroads. We are deterring aggression, responding to the world’s challenges. We respect the UN Charter. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we actively began to act, to mobilize aid.
➡️ Putin’s war has failed in its goal to invade Ukraine and weaken NATO.
➡️ We must not tire; we must support Ukraine until a just and lasting peace is achieved.
➡️ We are ready to cooperate with China for the benefit of our peoples.
➡️ We need to mobilize to make Artificial Intelligence technology safe and consistent with our collective values.
➡️ It’s time for a new leader to lead my country forward. But don’t forget that there are things more important than power. These are your peoples. We are here to serve the people, not the other way around.
➡️ Nothing lies beyond our reach if we do it together. May God bless all who seek peace!
It should be noted that Biden’s speech today is his last as President of the United States.
