In Russia, prisoners have taken prison guards hostage.
It became known that in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, six prisoners took the guards of a detention center hostage.
They broke the window bars in their cell and broke into the duty station, Russian media reported.
There they took the staff hostage. Of the prisoners who were recognized are several people who have already been convicted of links to ISIS.
The hostages are Lieutenant Colonel Alexander B., head of the operational department, and a junior inspector of the duty service of SIZO 1.
The area near the local prison was cordoned off by law enforcers. A video of the hostages was published online.
The prisoners stand with a black flag and say that they were “inspired by Allah”. And they report that they demanded a car in order to leave the prison.
It’s also known that more of their demands include weapons. Judging from the footage, so far they only have edged weapons.
It has been reported that law enforcers have liquidated all six men who had taken hostages.
During the storming, three of them were conscious but died before the arrival of medical help.
At the same time, other sources report that two prisoners were killed and four were detained.
