A new nuclear bomb has been presented in the U.S.

It became known that in the U.S. was presented a new nuclear bomb, B61-13, the power of which is 24 times more powerful than the one that was dropped on Hiroshima.

This was reported by the National Nuclear Security Administration.

The new bomb inherits the advanced safety, precision, and defense systems of the previous version B61-12 but has a higher yield.

It is designed to destroy sophisticated and well-defended targets, such as underground command centers.

The B61-13 will be carried and used by the B-2 Spirit and B-21 Raider stealth strategic bombers.

The development, which began with a Pentagon decision in 2023, is prompted by growing threats, including the nuclear programs of Russia and China.
