Castle Combe is a place where time stood still

Castle Combe is a tiny village in England with a population of only 350 people. Most of the houses here were built in the XIV-XV centuries.

There are no new buildings, electric wires are hidden underground, and the cobbled streets seem to take you back to the Middle Ages.

Limestone cottages, the ancient market square and the 12th century St. Andrew’s Church create the atmosphere of a timeless fairy tale.

Castle Combe also attracts moviegoers: scenes from Stardust and War and Peace were filmed here.
