A book about Zelenskyy was confiscated at Moscow airport
Russian customs officers seized a book about Vladimir Zelensky at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport. The Moscow Times reports this.
It is reported that the book was ordered from Poland by a 38-year-old collector from Russia, whose name is not mentioned.
It is a book by American journalist Simon Shuster “The Showman,” about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but it was seized at customs.
Russian expert examination confirmed that the book falls into the list of goods prohibited for transportation across the border.
And the information in the book can allegedly harm Russia’s state security.
“It may harm the security, political or economic interests of the country and the morality of its citizens,” the customs union said.
At the same time, the book about the President of Ukraine, “The Showman,” is not included in the register of the Ministry of Justice of Russia as extremist material.
The customer initiated an administrative case under the article on non-compliance with prohibitions and restrictions on the transportation of goods from abroad.
The abstract of the book “The Showman” says that it tells the story of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Vladimir Zelensky’s transformation into the leader of his country against the background of these events.
