Ukrainian military destroyed a Russian FSB border patrol vessel
The Ukrainian Navy has released satellite images of the Russian vessel “Izumrud,” which was struck while docked in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
This was reported today, July 14, on the Ukrainian Navy’s page.
The photos show the aftermath of a Ukrainian strike on the Project 22460 border patrol ship “Izumrud,” which was part of the Russian FSB’s Coast Guard.

It is clearly visible that the pier around the Russian ship has been blackened by fire, while the Izumrud itself sustained critical damage and has noticeably sunk into the water.
“The satellite image confirms the destruction of the Russian border patrol ship ‘Izumrud’ at the dock. We continue to reduce the Russian aggressor’s capabilities at sea,” the Ukrainian Navy reported.
Video. This Russian vessel was one of the ships that took part in the attack on a Ukrainian Navy task force in the Kerch Strait on November 25, 2018.
Now, many years after those events, the Russian ship itself has ended up with a hole in its hull at a Crimean pier. This is yet another blow to the Russian forces in occupied Crimea.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian combat drones successfully struck Russia’s largest oil terminal. The overnight attack targeted the Baltic Fleet base in St. Petersburg and the oil terminal.
