Lifebuoys became a widely used safety device only at the beginning of the 19th century.

In 1855, the British Admiralty was the first in the world to require them on all its ships.

Over the past 200 years, their design and functionality have remained virtually unchanged.

However, the Portuguese company Noras Performance has developed U-Safe, a self-propelled lifebuoy with remote control.

Earlier, it was reported that world scientists had managed to create living skin.

The skin is grown in laboratory conditions from human cells with a 3D-printed base.

In order for it to exist in the future, it needs nutrients and a lot of moisture.
