Meta has launched a new social network Threads. Twitter is a serious competitor.
It became known that the company Meta (which owns Facebook and Instagram) is launching a new social network Threads.
The new social network will be similar to Twitter, with an emphasis on short text messages.
Currently, Threads has already downloaded over 5 million times in the first 4 hours. This is reported by the head of the company, Mark Zuckerberg.
Zuckerberg also stated that he wants to achieve a goal of one billion users.
“It will take some time, but I think there should be an app for public conversations with over a billion people. Twitter could have done it, but failed. I hope we make it,” said the media mogul.
Threads is available for download in over 100 countries, but is not yet available in the EU due to regulatory issues.
