Ukrainian Leopard tank destroy a Russian column of armored vehicles during a battle
A Leopard 2A4 tank operated by Ukrainian forces has successfully destroyed a Russian column of armored vehicles during combat operations in the Donetsk region.
Video footage shared on social media captures the engagement, showing the German-made Leopard tank accurately striking a convoy of Russian armored vehicles advancing across open terrain.
According to the published footage, the Russian column included at least five armored vehicles moving in close formation. The Ukrainian tank crew quickly identified the targets and opened fire before the convoy could reach its objective.
The Leopard 2A4 delivered a series of precise shots, destroying multiple vehicles one after another. The crew maintained accurate fire throughout the engagement, preventing the Russian column from continuing its advance.
The battle highlights the effectiveness of the Leopard 2A4 on the battlefield when combined with well-trained Ukrainian crews. The German-designed main battle tank has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to engage armored targets at long range with high accuracy.
Following the successful operation, Ukrainian military personnel praised the tank crew for their performance.
“Excellent work. Soldiers of the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade distinguished themselves in battle,” the Ukrainian military said.
It was previously reported that during the battle, the American M113 armored personnel carrier, which was evacuating wounded Ukrainian soldiers, withstood nine direct strikes from Russian drones.
