Thousands of people protested in Russian Bashkiria

Local activist Fail Alsynov was sentenced to 4 years in prison for “inciting ethnic hatred.”
He allegedly spoke negatively about migrant workers from Central Asia and residents of the Caucasus.
According to another version, disseminated by Russian opposition media, he called on local residents not to go to war in Ukraine.
After the verdict was announced, several thousand people came to the court to protest.
Brawls broke out with the police, who used tear gas and stun grenades.
There are detainees and victims. Alsynov’s supporters are demanding his release.
