The reserves of shells for Ukrainian air defense will only last until March
It is reported that if the US Senate does not accept financial assistance to Ukraine, then the reserves of shells for Ukrainian air defense will only last until March.
The New York Times writes about this with reference to American officials.
“Ukrainian troops are exhausted, they lack weapons and ammunition. Air defense systems, critical to protecting civilians from Russian missiles, are being steadily depleted by repeated bombing attacks.
The shortage of missiles for air defense systems will be an even bigger problem for Ukraine than the shortage of shells.
Because projectiles can, to a certain extent, be replaced by combat drones.
There is nothing else to shoot down Russian missiles other than air defense systems.
In Europe, they say that they will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine, but without the United States the situation will become extremely difficult.
This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during his visit to the States.
