Syrian officer who fed opposition members to a lion has been executed
It has become known that a Syrian officer, an adherent of the Assad regime who fed opposition members to a lion, has been executed.
According to Sky News Arabia, Talal al-Daqaq, also known as Abu Sahar, was executed in the city of Hama.
He is an officer of the pro-government paramilitary Shabiha militia.
In Hama, Abu Sahar was responsible for suppressing protests against the Assad regime in 2011, which turned into a civil war.
Under Assad’s rule, Abu Sahar became famous for his pet zoo.
He kept a lion as his pet, to which he fed arrested people and the bodies of opposition figures tortured to death.
