Russians almost shot down their own airplane
Russia has become so afraid of combat drones that they mistake their own airplanes for them. This is reported by The War Zone.
It is reported that the cause of the commotion was not drones: Russian air defense tried to shoot down its own plane An-2.
The airplane with navigation lights on accidentally flew into the “forbidden zone”.
They started shooting at it, mistaking it for a Ukrainian drone. But they couldn’t hit it, and the plane changed course and flew on.
This all happened over the Russian city of Salavat (Bashkortostan), there AN-2 was carrying out a scheduled flight over the city.
But when the plane was flying over a petrochemical plant, they started shooting at it.
Only the inaccuracy of the local sky defenders saved the pilot and instructor of the AN- airplane.
Earlier, it was reported that a Ukrainian robotic drone filled with explosives flew 700 miles (ca. 1,127 km) and hit three Russian ships at once.
This unmanned aircraft crashed into a cluster of warships moored nearby at a pier.
The explosion damaged three ships, including two Cheetah-class frigates, the largest ships in the Russian fleet.
