Madonna criticized Trump’s actions
American singer Madonna criticized the actions of US President Donald Trump in Instagram Stories on February 21.
“I thought this country was built by Europeans, escaping living under the rule of a King, to establish a New World governed by the people. Currently we have a president who calls Himself. Our King If this is a joke, I’m not laughing,” Madonna stated.
Almost 20 million people are subscribed to the artiste’s page where she posted this.
Earlier, Trump said on the social network Truth Social that he “saved” New York City by canceling the program of charging for entry into the center of New York City.
The White House’s official social media X account further spread the message.
It was also accompanied by an illustration of Trump wearing a crown, allegedly on the cover of a magazine resembling Time but named “Trump.”
The New York Times notes that Trump is famous for his love of gold and other trappings of royalty.
Protests against Trump and his policies were also held in the US the day before.
The participants spoke against tougher immigration policy and cuts in federal spending.
Activists shouted “No kings on Presidents’ Day” and “Ilion Musk must go.”
It is reported that the largest actions took place in Boston, Florida and California.
