Catholics against a potato chip company
Italian television showed a commercial for a company that makes potato chips.
They compared the commercial to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, which took place 2,000 years ago.
Believers reacted to such a video, saying that it is outrageous and was sacrilege. This was reported by the Telegraph.
After the broadcast of the advertisement, several religious Catholic organizations protested.
In their opinion, the footage insults their religion, violates the law, and therefore it is necessary to immediately stop showing this outrage.
“Christ turned into a crispy crust. Humiliated and desecrated as he was 2,000 years ago. Amica Chips has once again chosen provocation as a means of communication,” they stated.
The Lorenzo Marini Group said the video was aimed at young people and contains British irony, and they did not mean to offend anyone.
