Another earthquake strikes Turkey

An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck the Turkish province of Balikesir.

According to information from the Turkish Emergency Management Agency, the epicenter of the tremors was in the Sündirgi district of Balikesir province.

The earthquake occurred at 10:48 p.m. local time and was felt in many regions of the country, including Istanbul.

At this point, it is known that three buildings and one structure were destroyed. The latter housed a store.

Frightened by the earthquake, residents of the area ran out of their homes and are afraid to return to their apartments, preferring to remain on the street.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a statement regarding the earthquake that occurred in the province of Balikesir.

In his message on social network X, Erdogan expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery and support to the citizens affected by the earthquake.
