Airspace over Alaska to be closed

The US will close the skies over Alaska’s largest city on the day of the meeting between Trump and Putin.

The US Federal Aviation Administration will close the airspace over Anchorage.

This will happen on July 15, the day of the announced meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Putin.

According to a notice from the Federal Aviation Administration, VIPs will be traveling on Friday.

Because of this, flights over Anchorage will be prohibited within a radius of 30 miles (48.3 km) and at altitudes of up to 5,500 kilometers.

The restrictions in the skies over Alaska will remain in effect until August 16.
