A railroad bridge collapsed in India

It became known that in the west of India collapsed a railway bridge; there are dead and dozens of injured. About it reports AP.

In the state of Maharashtra, the collapse of an iron bridge over the river Indrawn killed at least two people; 32 others were injured.

The state’s Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis says six of the injured are in critical condition.

The tragedy occurred in an area popular with tourists when a large number of people were on the bridge.

The Indrani river has overflowed its banks after recent rains, and though there was no rain on the day of the incident, the water remained rushing.

Some people were swept away by the current, so a military operation is underway to search for them.

The National Disaster Response Force is involved in the search and rescue effort.
