Football referee in Italy suspended for not shaking hands with assistant
It became known online that the Italian Football Federation suspended the referee from refereeing for not shaking hands with his assistant.
In the tribune room on the eve of the Lecce – Sassuolo match, Juan Luca Sacchi ignored or did not notice Francesca Di Monte’s outstretched hand.
The published video shows that the Italian referee shook the hand of one of the club players instead of an assistant.
After this incident, the referee was suspended from refereeing for one match.
But the Italian football authorities did not consider this sexism.
Previously, athlete Joasha Zakrzewski was suspended from the marathon for driving several kilometers during the race.
