Zelenskyy responds to Putin’s words about legitimacy

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has responded to the Russian dictator’s words about his alleged illegitimacy as the Ukrainian president by saying that only Putin recognizes Putin’s legitimacy, while in Ukraine the president is elected by the people.

Zelenskyy said this during a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron.

“The legitimacy of President Zelensky recognizes exclusively the people of Ukraine. Elects – the people of Ukraine—and I am very grateful for the support. Our people are free. This is what we are fighting for.

The legitimacy of “comrade” Putin is recognized exclusively by comrade Putin. And Putin is elected by Putin. The Russian people are a stage set, and they have only one actor,” the Ukrainian leader said.

After the meeting, it became known that France would hand over Mirage 2000 airplanes to Ukraine and would also train a brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces

This was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron at a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelensky.

In the coming days, the formation of a coalition to send military instructors to Ukraine will be finalized, according to Macron.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also held talks with Joe Biden in France; their private meeting lasted 30 minutes.

After that, Biden said that Ukraine would receive a new military aid package worth $225 million, including, first, ammunition.

The US President apologized to Zelensky for the delay in arms deliveries.

For his part, the Ukrainian president thanked the USA for its support and promised to share some information from the battlefield.
