Zelensky held a telephone conversation with Xi Jinping

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Chinese leader Xi Jinping had a telephone conversation.

The Ukrainian leader announced this on his Twitter page.

The conversation between the leaders of the countries took place for the first time since the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine expressed confidence that this conversation, as well as the appointment of the Ukrainian Ambassador to China, would give a powerful impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

“I had a long and meaningful telephone conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. I believe that this call, as well as the appointment of Ukraine’s ambassador to China, will give a powerful impetus to the development of our bilateral relations,” the President of Ukraine wrote.
