World’s First AI Chef Has Started Working in a Dubai Restaurant
The artificial intelligence doesn’t stand at the stove, but it is fully responsible for creating every unique recipe that is already causing a sensation among foodies.
Dinosaur Tartare and Seaweed Oil — the Main Hits of the AI Menu
The most provocative dishes developed by the AI chef include:
- Dinosaur Tartare (£44) — a dish that promises to “recreate the taste of extinct reptiles.” The exact recipe is kept secret, but it is known that duck meat forms the base along with special additives.
- Seaweed oil — naturally rich in umami glutamate — served with wagyu beef cooked in a clay pot.
How Does Artificial Intelligence Work in the Kitchen?
Chef Aiman was trained on tens of thousands of recipes, scientific papers on molecular gastronomy, data about flavor pairings, chemical composition of ingredients, and guest preferences. The AI analyzes all this information and generates completely new combinations.
However, the developers emphasize that the physical preparation of dishes is still 100 % done by human chefs. Artificial intelligence acts only as a creative co-author, not as a full replacement.
Will AI Ever Replace Real Chefs?
Most experts remain skeptical. They believe that artificial intelligence still lacks the intuition, emotional sensitivity, and true creativity that only humans possess.
An Oxford University study supports these doubts: out of 316 professions most likely to be automated in the coming decades, the profession of chef ranked only 213th.
So for now, the AI chef in Dubai is more of a spectacular experiment and a brilliant marketing move than a real threat to thousands of cooks around the world.
