The White House sharply criticized the House of Representatives for leaving for recess without voting on Ukraine.
The Hill writes about this.
“Speaker Johnson runs away, sending the House into an early, undeserved recess.”
“He continues to escalate the murderous military efforts of Russia and the Iranian regime to the detriment of American national security,” White House spokesman Andrew Bates said.
Joe Biden himself also spoke out. He said that “Failure to support Ukraine at this critical moment will never be forgotten.”
The House of Representatives responded that Biden himself spent more than a year on vacation during his presidency.
And they said that the president never found time to meet with Speaker Johnson after the adoption of the “Ukrainian” bill in the Senate.
The House of Representatives broke up until February 28, after which the budget process will begin, and only then, no earlier than the first week of March, can they return to the issue of assistance to Ukraine.
The situation in Avdiivka is critical; the city may come under the control of the Russian Federation due to a lack of ammunition from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, stated this at a briefing.
