We don’t all smoke weed in Germany, Scholz
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has revealed that he has never smoked cannabis.
While on a visit to China, Scholz visited the local Tongji University, Reuters reported.
During the interaction, one of the students revealed that he would soon be traveling to Germany and was concerned about drug use everywhere there.
The student was referring to the cannabis legalization law in Germany, which went into effect on April 1.
At the same time, it is strictly prohibited in China. The student asked what he should do if he didn’t want to try cannabis at all and didn’t want to jeopardize his health.
. “Just don’t use it,” Scholz replied, surprised at the questions posed.
Scholz stated that he himself is almost 66 years old and has never smoked cannabis.
“If you study in Berlin, you can run through there all the time and not meet anyone who does something like that,” the German chancellor said.
As you know, Germany has decided to legalize cannabis.
The states of Bavaria and Saarland opposed this initiative, but their positions did not affect the situation.
