US and UK strike Houthi targets in Yemen
The UK and US are carrying out strikes against Iran-backed Houthi targets in Yemen in response to their attacks on ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
More than a dozen targets, ranging from training centers to storage facilities for drones.
Hodeidah, Thais, Sana, Saad are under attack.
Two or three more unknown countries may join the attacks on Yemen – media citing American sources.
It is also reported that the Caspian Fleet of the Iranian Navy has been abruptly put on full alert.
Joe Biden is preparing to address the military operation in Yemen.
The first consequences of the attacks are local media.
The Pentagon has officially confirmed the strikes on Yemen.
“We attacked about 10 Houthi targets in Yemen. Drone production centers and weapons depots have been hit,” a Pentagon spokesman said.
