A remote-controlled drone loaded with explosives flew 700 miles (ca. 1,127 km) to the parking lot of the Russian Caspian Fleet, where it hit three ships at once.
About it, writes Forbes.
This drone plane crashed into a cluster of warships moored nearby at the pier.
The explosion damaged three ships, including two frigates of the type “Cheetah”: the largest ships of the fleet.
The smaller corvette Bujan was also damaged. The damaged ships could account for nearly a third of the Caspian Fleet’s strength.
The A-22 drone used in the strike was designed to respond to Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities.
A video has emerged of Russian sailors in the port of Kaspiysk running for cover and enthusiastically watching the Ukrainian drone attack.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine has completed the development of a “missile drone”.
It is a drone with a turbojet engine “Palyanitsa”: a hybrid cruise missile with a range of up to 400 miles (ca. 644 km).
