Ukrainian army tested a drone with an anti-tank grenade launcher

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have received a prototype of a new drone for defeating enemy armored vehicles.

A video of tests of the Ukrainian FPV drone with RPG-18 grenade launcher was published by military telegram channels.

The gun barrel is integrated with the frame of the drone design-an open external battery and a bracket with a real-time video camera.

This flying grenade launcher was conceived as a tactical defensive weapon to thwart Russian tank attacks and armored infantry vehicles.

The range of the drone is still unknown, most likely the military will use such drones within a few hundred meters of defended positions.

Because a mounted RPG-18 grenade launcher requires loading new ammunition manually every time.

Nevertheless, unmanned grenade launchers will give the Ukrainian military an advantage in terms of the safety of unit personnel.

They will not need to occupy firing points on terrain open to Russian fire.

Earlier, it was reported that a drone with a mounted Kalashnikov assault rifle appeared in service with the Ukrainian army.

The AK-47 assault rifle was mounted on a platform with four propellers and lifted into the air as a flying drone.
