US President Donald Trump again threatened Elon Musk to deprive his company of state support.
This is how he responded to the billionaire’s new criticism of the “big and beautiful” budget bill recently passed by Congress.
Trump’s threats to strip Musk of subsidies came after the billionaire said he would create a new political party.
“If this insane spending bill passes, the next day the American Party will be formed. Our country needs an alternative to the Democratic-Republican one-party party for people to actually have a voice,” Musk wrote.
He also conducted a poll on his page in X, where 80% were in favor of creating such a party.
Recall, the ‘crazy spending bill’ that Musk criticizes was passed by Congress last week and awaits Trump’s signature.
It cuts spending on a number of items, including subsidies for electric cars, which Musk’s company Tesla produces in the US.
At the same time, the law also raises the U.S. government debt ceiling to a record high, something Musk has also criticized.
