Former US President Donald Trump spoke behind bulletproof glass.

The speech was held for the first time in the open air after the recent assassination attempt on him. This is reported by the Los Angeles Times.

Storage containers were also stacked near Trump to create additional walls and block the view.

Snipers positioned themselves on local structures and containers during the speech.

During his speech, Trump at one point stepped out from behind the glass and approached the audience when he recognized someone in the crowd had fainted.

In North Carolina, Trump called Obama “disgusting” for criticizing him the day before at the Democratic Party convention.

He blamed Biden and Harris for the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, the wars in Ukraine, and the Middle East.

Also, Trump reiterated that he would end the wars with one phone call. He has a week of speeches ahead in swing states.
