The US has not destroyed key components of Iran’s nuclear program
The US strikes did not destroy key components of Iran’s nuclear program but only delayed its development for months, CNN reports, citing an intelligence report.
This, the TV channel says, is evidenced by an assessment by the Pentagon’s Intelligence Agency based on a battle damage analysis conducted by U.S. Central Command.
Sources say Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium was not destroyed because it was removed from sites before the strikes, and the centrifuges are largely “intact.”
CNN notes, however, that the analysis is ongoing and the assessment could change. “The U.S. does not yet have a complete picture of the impact of the strikes,” the publication writes.
The White House has acknowledged the existence of such an intelligence assessment. Administration spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt told CNN that it was an incorrect assessment, and everyone knows that such strikes would have destroyed the target.
Today, Trump released footage of bombing Iran to the song Bomb Iran.
It’s a 1961 cover of the popular Barbara Ann hit by The Beach Boys.
