Afghan Defense Minister Mawlawi Muhammad Yaqub Mujahid issued a “stern warning” to Pakistan in response to the recent airstrikes.
He said no act of aggression would go unanswered.
Taliban spokesmen claimed that Pakistan’s airstrike in eastern Afghanistan killed 46 people, mostly women and children.
However, the Pakistani military said its forces killed 13 Tehrik-e Taliban militants during the operation based on intelligence received.
Taliban forces have now captured several checkpoints on the border with Pakistan.
