The Russian occupation forces, which are trying to capture the Ukrainian city of Avdiyivka, have started using phosphorus ammunition.
This was announced by the spokesman of the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Borodin
“Avdiivka Coke chemical plant… Occupiers use phosphorous projectiles, which ignite tanks with fuel oil. “Poisonous smog is spreading throughout the entire territory of the plant,” the military said.
Day and night, Avdiivka is bombarded with artillery and anti-aircraft guns, 60 aerial bombs are dropped. Assaults by armored vehicles and enemy infantry attacks are ongoing in the city.
The Russians have increased their attacks on the city and are trying to knock out the Ukrainian military. Despite this, Avdiivka continues to be defended.
