The oldest man in the world has died at the age of 112 years old

It became known that John Tinniswood passed away in a nursing home in Southport, England. This is reported by CNN.

His last day was surrounded by music and love, his family said in a statement.

Born Aug. 26, 1912, Tinniswood held the status of the world’s oldest man since 2024, following the death of 114-year-old Juan Vicente Perez of Venezuela.

The long-lived man could not give a specific explanation for how he managed to live so long, calling it “pure luck.”

“You either live long or you live short, and there’s nothing you can do about it,” he told Guinness World Records earlier this year.

He did, however, offer one piece of advice on how to stay healthy: stick to moderation in everything.
