The number of ChatGPT users has exceeded 400 million

In February, the number of monthly active users of OpenAI tools exceeded 400 million.

The main tool of the popular American company is the ChatGPT chatbot.

This was stated by the company’s managing director Brad Lightcap in an interview with CNBC.

Thus, since December, this figure has increased by 33% – then the company reported about 300 million active users.

Lightcap also said that the number of paid corporate users has doubled since September, reaching 2 million.

It is noted that the number of OpenAI users is growing despite the activities of competitors.

As you know, the Chinese DeepSeek presented its own AI model, R1, which, according to its statements, by its main characteristics is not inferior to the neural network from OpenAI.

At the same time, it is significantly cheaper. After the appearance of R1, the shares of many technology companies, including OpenAI, fell.

According to the TrendForce service, as of February 7, DeepSeek’s neural network had 20 million daily active users, making it the second largest in the world after ChatGPT.
