The ninth Starship test launch ended in failure

It became known that the ninth test launch of the Starship spacecraft ended in failure.

The company SpaceX lost contact with the Starship prototype spacecraft during the ninth test flight, writes the BBC.

The ship was launched from the Starbase site in south Texas. After the separation of the launch vehicle, communication with it was lost – according to the plan, it was supposed to land in the Gulf of Mexico.

Half an hour into the flight, the craft, which had traveled farther than on the previous two flights, began spinning erratically, after which it also lost contact.

Presumably, it made a revolution around the Earth and disintegrated after entering the atmosphere near the Indian Ocean.

During the flight, the ship did not open the hatches of the cargo compartment, which were supposed to put into orbit payload – imitators of Starlink satellites.

It is also reported that, in addition to these problems, there was also a fuel leak.
