The mystery of a mysterious shrimp fishing vessel that washed ashore has been solved in the United States.
The ship was found without a crew near the coast of the state of Florida. About it, writes the Daily Mail.
The vessel, named Miss Monty, was accidentally found on the beach between the cities of Jacksonville and Orlando.
Police officers were called to the scene, who examined the ship and found no traces of the presence of people.
Such news about the mysterious vessel on the shore of the beach soon went viral on social media.
Locals began to come to the shore to take pictures of the mysterious “ghost ship.”
After two days, it turned out that the ship had an owner, and everything was fine with him. As it turned out, the “Miss Monty” belongs to Corey Thomas.
The man said he was forced to abandon the vessel on Friday, April 11, because the wiring had deteriorated and he could not raise the anchor.
Other anglers tried to help Thomas, but eventually had to call the Coast Guard.
The lifeguards arrived and said the owner would have to abandon the “Miss Monty” as it was too dangerous to tow the vessel.
Thomas tried to return to Miss Monty with his colleagues, but was unsuccessful. The vessel was eventually beached in one piece.
At the same time, the Coast Guard said that now Thomas himself must remove the vessel from the beach.
The fisherman began collecting donations online to raise the necessary 11 thousand dollars.
