It has been reported that Swedish actor and musician Björn Andrésen has passed away at the age of 70.
He was known as ‘the most beautiful boy of the 20th century.’ This was reported by the newspaper Dagens Nyheter.
“Actor Björn Andrésen, who played the lead role in the film Death in Venice, has died,” the article says.
Andersen gained fame after his role in Luchino Visconti’s 1971 film Death in Venice, where he played the character Tazio.
This role brought him worldwide fame and recognition, and director Visconti called him ‘the most beautiful boy of the 20th century.’
Later, a documentary film about the actor’s life was made, titled The Most Beautiful Boy in the World.
The documentary was directed by Christina Lindström and Christian Petri.
“He was a beautiful and courageous person,” said director Christian Petri.
