It became known that in Romania fell the largest Christmas tree, weighing 17 tons. This is reported by 15 NOI.
The tree was installed in November in the center of Brasov, one of the popular mountain resorts in the country.
The tree reaches an impressive height of 26 meters, making it one of the tallest ever displayed in Romania, the city’s mayor said.
However, the tree didn’t stand until Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Judging from the video footage, there was a strong wind in the city at the time of the fall, which is what caused the pre-Christmas disaster.
The tree, weighing about 17 tons, was grown near Brasov, near the pasture of Stana Turistica.
The official festive ceremony of lighting millions of lights took place on November 29, marking the beginning of the holiday season in Brasov.
