The father of a deceased veteran tried to shout down Joe Biden during his speech in Congress, but was arrested.
The New York Post reports this.
The father of a Gold Star soldier who died during the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan shouted:
“Abbey Gate! Second Battalion, First Marine!” the man shouted as Biden spoke about the danger to the United States.
The police brought him out and took him into custody.
He was charged with obstructing Congress. Most likely, he will pay a $50 fine and be released.
His son Karim Nikoui, a lance corporal, was killed by a suicide bomber near Kabul International Airport in August 2021.
